    STORAGE ADVICE

To maintain the freshness and quality of pig’s ears, it is recommended to store them in a cool, dry place. If unopened, they can be kept at room temperature. However, once opened, it is best to store them in an airtight container or resealable bag in the refrigerator. Properly stored, pig’s ears can last for up to 1-2 weeks in the refrigerator. If you want to extend their shelf life, you can also freeze pig’s ears. Wrap them individually in plastic wrap or place them in a freezer-safe bag or container before freezing. Frozen pig’s ears can maintain their quality for several months. When ready to use, thaw them in the refrigerator before feeding them to your pet. Always check for any signs of spoilage before serving.

    COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

Cooking pig’s ears for pets requires a specific method to ensure they are safe and easily digestible. Here’s a step-by-step guide for cooking pig’s ears for your pet:

    Ingredients:

    Pig’s ears
    Water

    Instructions:

Purchase fresh or frozen pig’s ears from a reputable source. Ensure that the ears are intended for pet consumption and have not been treated with any harmful substances.
Thoroughly rinse the pig’s ears under cold water to remove any dirt or debris. This step is essential to ensure the ears are clean before cooking.
In a large pot, place the pig’s ears and add enough water to cover them completely.
Bring the water to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat to low and let the ears simmer. Simmering will help soften the ears and make them more digestible for your pet.
Cook the pig’s ears for approximately 2 to 3 hours. Keep an eye on the pot and add more water if necessary to ensure the ears remain covered.
After the cooking time has elapsed, check the texture of the pig’s ears. They should be tender and easily break apart when pressed. If they are still tough, continue simmering for an additional 30 minutes to 1 hour until they reach the desired consistency.
Once the pig’s ears are cooked, remove them from the pot and allow them to cool completely before serving them to your pet. Cooling will prevent any burns or discomfort.
Once cooled, you can cut the pig’s ears into smaller, bite-sized pieces for your pet. It’s best to remove any excess fat or cartilage, as they can be challenging to digest.
Serve the cooked pig’s ears as a special treat for your pet. They can be given whole or used as training rewards.

Remember to always consult with your veterinarian before introducing any new foods into your pet’s diet. Additionally, it’s important to feed pig’s ears in moderation, as they are high in fat and can cause gastrointestinal upset if given in excessive amounts.
